Natural Stone Floor Restoration Fundamentals

Classroom knowledge. Real-world application. Learn how to inspect, diagnose, plan, workload and execute natural stone floor restoration—then put those decisions to work during supervised field training.

Who this is for

For professionals who need to make better decisions on the floor.

This course is designed for restoration technicians, surface-care contractors, business owners and professionals responsible for planning or performing natural stone floor work.

The SCE approach

Natural stone restoration is not just a sequence of abrasives. The surface, condition, traffic, expectations, access and production requirements all affect the job. This course teaches the decision-making process behind the work—not just the mechanics.

Small by design: enrollment is limited to 4–6 students so everyone has room to ask questions, work with the equipment and receive direct feedback.
What you'll learn

Follow the job from inspection through closeout.

Inspect & Diagnose

Stone identification, condition assessment, intervention levels, traffic patterns and deciding what the floor actually needs.

Scope & Workload

Production rates, labor loading, equipment, edges, obstacles, setup, breakdown and building a realistic plan and estimate.

Restore & Troubleshoot

Process selection, abrasives, test areas, equipment, chemistry, field changes, inspection and professional closeout.

Course day

Afternoon classroom. Evening field application.

The field portion is not a demonstration added to the end of a lecture. It is where the class applies the decisions made earlier in the day to an actual commercial project.
